Stranger Thingsis beefing up its cast for Season 2. The Netflix hit is adding a Power Ranger and Broadway star as series regulars for its sophomore outing, the streaming service announced Friday.

Sadie Sink has been cast in the role of Max, a tough and confident girl whose appearance, behavior and pursuits seem more typical of boys than of girls in this era. She has a complicated history and is generally suspicious of those around her.

Australian-born Montgomery recently wrapped production on Lionsgate's big screen reboot of Power Rangers, playing the Red Power Ranger, Jason Lee Scott — starring opposite Elizabeth Banks, Bryan Cranston and RJ Cyler.

Netflix has also promoted two Season 1 favorites from recurring to series regular status for Season 2: Noah Schnapp, who plays Will Byers, the missing boy who was at the center of last season's mystery while trapped in the Upside Down, and Joe Keery, who made a splash as popular jock (and boyfriend of Natalia Dyer's Nancy) Steve Harrington.
